kidsroomZOOM! returns to Milan for the 2012 Salone. The exhibition presents a snapshot of the most innovative and exciting contemporary design and art for children. The exhibition includes more than twenty international artists, designers and companies in one apartment.

kidsroomZOOM! will be held in a new location at via Mellerio 1 in a stunning apartment building dating from the late-1970s. This inspirational setting will be styled to create the perfect house for children: a place in which to play and grow, learn and observe; a place in which little ones can become king or queen of their own dominion.

Curated by Inhabitots, ‘The Modern Family Lounge’ at Dwell on Design will spotlight Kalon Studios’ work. Several pieces of Kalon’s latest work will be mixed in with the very best in contemporary design for kids and the family. The lounge welcomes modernists of all ages to try out the latest playhouses, toys, and pint-size furniture and kids’ room accessories.

Modern Family at Dwell on Design is also hosting panels on Saturday by Los Angeles architect Barbara Bestor and interior designer Erica Islas and father David Lai.

ZOOM! provides a snapshot of contemporary design for children focusing on a select young, emerging creative design and art scene. Zoom! is a series of individual rooms furnished exclusively for children. The focus of the exhibition is on the living environment of children featuring object that surround kids in their daily lives.

The exhibition was originally shown in Milan before moving to Graz (2011 Design Capital of Austria) for Austrian Design Month.

Natural Child Magazine Feature Article and Caravan Crib Giveaway
