Inspired by the original sitting stool: a tree stump. Raw and unfinished, these pieces celebrate the natural qualities of the tree trunk. Stump and Trunk are cut from the green wood of a tree trunk so the surface splits as it ages and dries, giving each piece a unique look. FSC Certified domestic Maple, sanded to a smooth finish.
Stump is 8.5″D x 8.5″L x 12″H (though each piece is a little bit different)
Trunk is 8.5″D x 30″L x 8.5″H or 14″D x 42″L x 14″H

“1000 New Eco Designs is a showcase of contemporary product design and interior products that are ecologically sound. Informative and visually inspirational, the book acts as a handbook, guiding readers through the complex issues involved in creating and choosing eco-friendly designs for the home.”
The Isometric Table represents a harmonious union of two distinct elements. Melding the structural integrity of bamboo with the precision of CNC manufacturing, Kalon Studios has created a simple yet elegant table for the home. Designed to accompany the Isometric Chair, the Isometric Table is a study in reduction and opposition. The design explores the intersection of two-dimensional planes flowing together to create three-dimensional form.
Finished with our specially developed, non-toxic wood oil, the Isometric Table is hand-crafted to order by traditional wood workers in New England. All of Kalon Studios products are fully sustainable and heirloom quality- made to last through the generations.
Eco-Friendly, People-Friendly, Recyclable, Renewable, Biodegradable, and Low Waste, the table is made with 100% all-natural, non-toxic and sustainable materials.
Available in three sizes:
Small (seats 4-6)
Medium (seats 6-8)
Large (seats 8-10)
This is the first time TIME Style & Design has singled out a DESIGN 100 focused entirely on the top 100 best and brightest in environmentally conscious design from around the globe.
“The Green Design 100 – Sustainable Luxury – Call it responsibility or accountability. Or simple popular demand. The rarefied world of design is embracing the environment as never before. Top architects are implementing revolutionary methods. Fashion and furniture mainstays are manufacturing products using sustainable materials. And luxury empires are establishing credos on issues their customers are still waking up to. Behind the scenes, trailblazing executives are taking big risks to make it all happen — beautifully.”
“Kalon Studios is named after the Greek word meaning beautiful and noble. Fittingly, this L.A.-based company strives for a near Platonic ideal in both design and production. The bamboo crib, like Kalon Studios pieces for adults, is 100% sustainable, creating not a stitch of wasted material, energy or labor.”
