Introduced in 2015, the No. 5 Series established the foundation of Kalon’s modular seating system—an approach centered on adaptability, longevity, and thoughtful response to the changing ways we inhabit space. Rooted in flexibility and longevity, the system responded to the shifting ways we occupy domestic and shared spaces.

No. 6 expands on that original logic. Refined in proportion and detail, the series introduces an updated foot and a sculptural chair, broadening the system while remaining aligned with its core principles. Together, No. 5 and No. 6 form a cohesive seating language—distinct in expression, yet unified in intent.

The collection is composed of four core elements—chair, chaise, sofa, and sectional—each designed to function independently or as part of a larger configuration. Pieces can be added, rearranged, or reimagined over time, allowing the system to adapt as it moves between spaces or responds to changing needs.

Crafted from oil-rubbed domestic hardwoods and upholstered in premium all-natural materials, the collection balances structural clarity with material warmth. Solid wood frames are intentionally exposed and considered from every angle, giving each piece a sculptural presence within a room. Optional brass detailing introduces a subtle mid-century reference, refined through a contemporary lens.

Each piece is built to order in small workshops using responsible production methods intended to support long-term use. All elements in the collection are available COM or can be specified from Kalon’s curated selection of textiles and wood species.
